The tunnel gives the sensation that the kids are sliding through a dark tunnel which adds to the sliding experience. Other people have suggested that the tunnel also helps to concentrate the water spray onto the slide surface making it extra slippy for better sliding.

Like all Banzai inflatable water slides, it has a continuous air blower that will inflate the slide in no time at all. It continues to keep the slide inflated throughout use.
