The kids will really love playing on the slide that can be set up in 3 minutes according to the literature. This is another in the line of Banzai water slides that includes the Wipeout water park and the original Falls waterslide. This article will outline the unique features of the Black Out Blast Slide.
Feedback on this water slide suggests it is one of the highest slides you can get from Banzai. The slide is in a wave like shape, so there is the initial dip that levels out in the middle and then another dip that takes you to the splash pool. You might even be able to get some ‘air’ as you leave the middle section which adds a bit of a thrill to the ride.
There have been quite a few complaints about the padding at the bottom of the slide (or lack of padding more like). Some feedback suggest that kids coming down the slide (especially younger children) will hurt themselves when they land.
This is something to be aware of. If you are set on getting this inflatable water slide then check out the padding at the foot of the slide. If you feel it is too thin for your children then get some extra padding and place it under the water slide at the point of landing. This is hardly an ideal solution but it is better to be safe than sorry. Banzai do not seem to be prepared to modify the design to add extra padding.
Other than that, the water slide is designed as a mini tunnel ride. When your kids scale the climbing wall off to the side of the inflatable they enter a blacked out launch pad which is attached to a similarly blacked out tunnel. The tunnel completely covers the slide to about the section where it levels off (middle of the slide).
The tunnel gives the sensation that the kids are sliding through a dark tunnel which adds to the sliding experience. Other people have suggested that the tunnel also helps to concentrate the water spray onto the slide surface making it extra slippy for better sliding.
Like all Banzai inflatable water slides, it has a continuous air blower that will inflate the slide in no time at all. It continues to keep the slide inflated throughout use. This helps to keep the surface light and slippery for better riding. There is also a repair kit for any holes or split seams that may occur and a storage bag.
It will allow up to a combined weight of 200 lbs at any one time but it seems that people have tested this limit and it has survived. But generally it will be good for 3 young kids to play on. Given that it is only one slide some rules should be set about how it is used so that the kid at the bottom of the slide doesn’t get slammed by another coming down 2 seconds after.
Above all, there seems to be a mix of comments, some are concerned with the padding and others really like the ride and tunnel experience of the waterslide.
